A darker roast from the small farms of Sumatra.

This dark roast comes from a cooperative of approximately 120 smallholders in Saran Padang, south of Lake Toba in Sumatra’s Simalungun region. In the cup, look for chocolate, caramel, and molasses.

A wet climate, high elevations, and mineral-rich volcanic soil shape the growing conditions here. The farms average 2.7 acres and sit around 2,500–5,000 feet above sea level. This Grade 1, Triple Picked coffee is carefully sorted by hand to remove defects.

Great for: Drip coffee, French press, and anyone who prefers a darker roast.
