Beschreibung
Our darkest blend was named after an assemblage series by artist Betye Saar, titled "workers + warriors", a re-appropriation of Aunt Jemima as a representative of the hardworking matriarchs that built America. Highlighting the medium roasted El Salvador against the depth of a dark roasted Brazil, this coffee shines when made at home and served with sweetener and milk, and is also used in cafes for espresso service. A rich, robust coffee with a nutty finish, it’s your new daily drinker.

Story
Our Workers + Warriors blend pays tribute to passion, hard work and craftsmanship. Our darkest blend, the flavor profile was developed to hit with the traditional, hard-working coffee drinker.
When updating our version of the working person’s daily drinker (formerly called Workbench), we were inspired by the assemblage work of California artist Betye Saar. Her exploration of the “workers + warriors" theme started at an exhibition at the Sao Paulo Biennal in Brazil and continued at her "workers + warriors, the Return of Aunt Jemima" solo show which spoke to the hardworking people and unsung warriors that built the families that made America.
