Four Winds

Cuatro Vientos is a young specialty coffee exporting enterprise from Neiva in Huila, Colombia, founded in 2018 by brothers Yonatan and Julian Gonzalez. Driven by their pursuit of connecting roasters with farmers from their region, their mission is to make excellent coffees from Huila available worldwide.

A portion of the estate was inherited 40 years ago, while the remainder was acquired. Initially, maize and beans were cultivated on this estate but the crops grown have expanded to also include  banana, yuca (cassava), orange and tahiti lemons (also known as persian limes, they are a cross bred citrus from lemons and key limes).

Coffee cultivation began approximately 30 years ago and has since become the primary source of income up to the present day.

Sebastián González
When the Pink Bourbon first appeared, Sebastián became intrigued to learn more, as it was said to be a highly productive coffee with excellent cupping qualities deserving of recognition. Since then, he has been working with this variety, alongside cultivating other specialty varieties such as Ombligon and Pacamara.

Processing
This lot was naturally fermented in transparent bags for 48 hours before being dried in the sun for around 30 days
