Descripción
Sweet, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, Kundalini is the house espresso at Kafiex Coffee Lab in downtown Vancouver, Washington.
This fixed two-coffee blend brings together Brazil and Colombia, using the same coffees featured in our single-origin offerings. The Colombian component is washed, while the Brazilian component is naturally processed. Each coffee is roasted separately before blending, allowing us to develop its sweetness, body, and structure individually.
Roasted to a Medium+ level, Kundalini delivers brown sugar sweetness, rich cocoa, a full body, and low perceived acidity. Its depth remains present in milk drinks, while its balanced character makes it equally enjoyable as straight espresso, French press, automatic drip, or Mokka pot.

About Kundalini
Named after the Sanskrit concept of awakening energy, Kundalini reflects warmth, momentum, and everyday balance.
It is the signature espresso at Kafiex Coffee Lab, located at 720 Esther Street in Vancouver, Washington. Its full body, familiar sweetness, and dependable structure make it an approachable espresso for both everyday café service and home brewing.
Blend Design and Roast Profile
Kundalini is built from two fixed components from Brazil and Colombia. Each coffee is roasted separately before blending so its individual moisture, density, and flavor characteristics can be developed appropriately.
The Medium+ roast profile emphasizes:
- Brown sugar sweetness
- Rich cocoa depth
- A smooth, full body
- Low perceived acidity
- A balanced and comforting finish
This approach creates an espresso that is substantial enough for milk drinks while remaining sweet and balanced when served black.
Brewing Versatility
Created as an espresso blend, Kundalini also performs beautifully as:
- Espresso: Full-bodied, sweet, and balanced
- Milk drinks: Rich enough to remain present in lattes and cappuccinos
- French press: Deep cocoa character and a rounded body
- Auto drip: Smooth, dependable, and easy to enjoy
- Moka pot: Bold, concentrated, and syrupy
Kundalini is an excellent everyday espresso for anyone looking for chocolate-driven sweetness, full body, and low perceived acidity.
