Description
Origin: Indonesia · Uganda
Roast level: Espresso
An espresso blend created from two distinctive coffees: our Indonesia Trenggiling and our Uganda Embogo Mubuku. The deep intensity of the Indonesian coffee meets Uganda’s fruity, wine-like sweetness to create a rich, generous, and perfectly balanced espresso. Designed to deliver plenty of body and character as an espresso, while retaining enough sweetness and complexity to enjoy cup after cup.
Profile:
This 100% Arabica blend combines the power and depth of our dark-roasted Indonesia Trenggiling with the softer, fruitier character of our medium-roasted Uganda Embogo Mubuku. The result is a full-bodied, rounded espresso with a lovely mouthfeel, moderate acidity, and natural sweetness that perfectly balances its intensity.
Tasting notes:
A deep cocoa base opens the cup, accompanied by notes of ripe plum, cherry, and black grape. The Ugandan coffee then brings molasses sweetness and a slightly wine-like character, while delicate nutty nuances round everything out. The finish is long, indulgent, and slightly fruity, with just enough brightness to bring balance.
Ideal for:
Espresso, cappuccino, flat white, latte, mocha, and Moka pot.
Its richness and body shine on their own as an espresso, while retaining enough character to come through in milk-based drinks.
The story:
This blend came from a desire to bring together two very different yet naturally complementary coffees. On one side, Indonesia Trenggiling brings power, cocoa, and dark fruit; on the other, Uganda Embogo Mubuku brings natural sweetness, wine-like notes, and roundness.
Blended specifically for espresso, they create a generous, complex cup where intensity never means bitterness. An espresso with body, sweetness, and just the right amount of character.
