Description

A delicious decaf coffee with notes of plum, nuts, milk chocolate, and apple. If you're having a hard time finding a decaf coffee that you find flavorful and satisfying, this coffee is a must-try. With a lovely medium roast, you'll find this coffee well-rounded, with notes of acidity that work wonderfully as an espresso or in your coffee maker.

This coffee underwent a decaffeination process at the farm called “sugarcane decaffeination,” but what exactly does that mean?
Coffees that undergo the sugarcane decaffeination process go through the following steps:
1. Steam treatment. The first step is to expose the beans to water steam to open their membranes and make it easier to extract the caffeine.
2. Extraction. The beans are immersed in an ethyl acetate solution, which selectively extracts caffeine. The caffeine in the coffee beans then migrates into the liquid solvent, which is transferred to another tank. At this stage, the caffeine-laden ethyl acetate is filtered and reintroduced into the process to extract more caffeine from the beans, until the residual caffeine level reaches 0.01%.
3. The pure caffeine is separated.
4. Drying. The drying process takes place in vacuum dryers, allowing for quick, uniform drying.
5. Cooling silo, a ventilated silo designed to lower the temperature and prevent the coffee from losing moisture.
6. Bean polishing
