Brazil Santos Fancy Tristar: Your Favorite Filter Coffee with a Mild Character
Discover Brazil Santos Fancy Tristar, the most popular filter coffee in our selection. This high-quality coffee from Brazil proves that exceptional specialty coffees can also come from the world's largest coffee-growing country.
Coffee was introduced to Brazil from French Guiana in 1720. Today, the country is the world's largest coffee producer, accounting for around one-third of global production. While much of it is destined for industrial roasters, Brazil also produces some truly exceptional microlots and coffees like our Tristar, with a cupping score of 83 points.
The Region: Cerrado and Mogiana
Tristar comes from the renowned regions of Mogiana and Cerrado. The Cerrado region is known for its flat landscape, which allows for efficient row planting. Some of the harvest here is done by machine, with the remaining cherries subsequently picked by hand.
The Cerrado region is characterized by rich volcanic clay soils, low humidity, plenty of sunshine, and cool nights. Our coffee beans are a blend of the Bourbon and Mundo Novo varieties and are processed using the pulped natural method. This semi-dry method is used to enhance the coffee's sweet, chocolatey characteristics and reduce acidity.
Character: Mild, Smooth, and Balanced
This Brazilian coffee is known and loved for its smooth, naturally mild flavor, medium body, and low acidity. These qualities make Santos Fancy Tristar an especially low-acidity, mild coffee for everyday enjoyment.
We have maintained our partnership with our partners in Brazil since 2010 so we can always offer you this consistently high-quality coffee, freshly sourced from growing altitudes of approximately 900–1,100 meters.
