Our "Fine Robusta" from India has an intense chocolate aroma and a strong, full-bodied flavor. This medium-dark roast has a rich body with no acidity and produces an especially dense crema. It’s an intense coffee, ideal for espresso drinks like café au lait or cappuccino, made with an automatic machine, portafilter machine, or your stovetop espresso maker. What makes this rich, creamy espresso special is that it uses 100% "fine" Robusta from India. This variety has no acidity, a rich body, and produces a thick crema on espresso. We believe that our high-quality, directly traded Robusta, with its ideal roast profile, shows this variety in a new light. Robusta beans naturally contain more caffeine than Arabica beans, making this espresso a real pick-me-up.
For four years, we have sourced our single-origin green coffee directly from the Mysore plantation in the Indian state of Karnataka. The plantation belongs to the Rao family, which has been growing high-quality Robusta coffee and tea here for 80 years. India is the world’s second-largest coffee producer.
