A balanced, bright coffee from Peru, combining sweetness and citrus freshness
Añas Blues comes from the Cajamarca region in northern Peru, one of the country’s most suitable areas for producing high-quality coffee. Here, at altitudes between 1,400 and 1,800 meters, the temperate climate and slow cherry maturation encourage clean, sweet, well-defined aromatic profiles.
The Catimor, Caturra, and Typica varieties help create a harmonious, consistent cup in which sweetness and brightness come together naturally. The combination of terroir and washed process produces a coffee with balanced structure, designed to offer aromatic clarity and a consistent sensory experience.
Washed process: transparency and definitionThe traditional washed process involves removing the pulp from the cherries immediately after harvest, followed by controlled aerobic fermentation.
During this stage, the mucilage is carefully removed, allowing the coffee’s clarity and brightness to shine. The coffee is then washed, sorted by density, and left to dry slowly outdoors.
This method maintains balance and consistency, highlighting the fruity character and natural sweetness without overemphasizing fermentation.
The result is a clean cup with moderate acidity and a smooth, well-defined structure.
Citrus, yellow fruit, and chocolatey sweetnessNotes of mandarin and honey come through in the cup, followed by yellow plum, yellow peach, and ripe fruit. Light caramel accompanies each sip, while dark chocolate adds depth and a more structured finish.
The acidity is present but well integrated, and the body is medium and rounded, with a harmonious, balanced feel. The sweetness is consistent and clean, with an elegant lingering finish.
A coffee for those seeking balance and versatilityAñas Blues is ideal for espresso, where its rounded character and chocolate notes shine. With filter brewing, the citrus and yellow fruit notes come through more clearly, offering a brighter expression of the profile.
A balanced, approachable, consistent coffee that tells the story of Peru’s most harmonious side through a sweet, clean, structured cup.
