Description

Sweet, creamy, and wonderfully balanced. This filter coffee brings together the creamy sweetness of white chocolate with delicate notes of honeycomb and a hint of apple compote. A light honey sweetness rounds it all out, making it an easy-drinking yet distinctive coffee for every day. This single-variety Catuai comes from the picturesque Finca Lérida in Panama, where we have been sourcing coffee directly since 2020. Finca Lérida is world-famous not only for its award-winning Geishas, but also for growing an especially aromatic Catuai in its fantastic microclimate. We roast these single-variety beans to a balanced, well-developed profile to bring out their honey sweetness.

Only the ripest fruit is hand-picked for this high-quality coffee, with each plant harvested up to eight times so that every bean reaches optimal sweetness. The coffee cherries are then depulped, thoroughly washed, and gently air-dried, with constant turning. The picturesque Finca Léria is located in Alto Quiel, Boquete, next to the world-famous Lamastus Elida Estate. The farm and its coffee plantations also benefit from the unique microclimate around the Boquete region and produce outstanding lots that have repeatedly won awards at BOP in recent years. Finca Lérida was the first coffee plantation in Panama to export coffee to Germany, in 1925. We are delighted to have this direct connection to the Amoruso family’s farm and are continually impressed by their great attention to detail and the excellent conditions for all the farm’s employees.
