Description

Brazil Yellow Bourbon Fazenda Pantano (Specialty Coffee) 250 g.

We’re introducing you to a great coffee from Brazil, which we roast at our roastery for brewing in a moka pot, espresso machine, French press, or AeroPress.

This coffee is the Yellow Bourbon variety and is naturally processed.

You’ll find plenty of sweetness reminiscent of chocolate and caramel, as well as the peanut aroma characteristic of coffees from this region. It’s all accented by a pleasant, fruity finish reminiscent of oranges.

Brazil is well known for its vast geographic area. In central Brazil, the sprawling Cerrado savanna is dotted with seemingly endless plateaus called Chapadas. They span the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Tocantins, and Minas Gerais, making this one of the largest coffee-producing areas in the world.

In western Minas Gerais, farmers began focusing primarily on growing specialty coffee, forming the contiguous Cerrado Mineiro region. Clearly defined seasons, with hot, humid summers and pleasantly cool, dry winters, make this region well suited to coffee cultivation.

Coffees from Cerrado Mineiro mean high altitudes, excellent cups, and traceability from farm to cup. Each bag receives an individual label with a number confirming its exact origin.

Fazenda Pantano is a large farm spanning more than 700 hectares. It is run by the Ferrero family, whose roots are in Italy. The current owners’ ancestors emigrated to Brazil in 1912 to work on coffee plantations.
