Description

Rwanda Red Bourbon is a specialty coffee, 100% Arabica, grown by 66 small-scale producers. This lot is processed using 100-hour natural anaerobic fermentation at Nkara station, developing a dense body and a complex aromatic profile. The cup stands out with clear notes of almonds, grapefruit, and rum chocolate.

Rwanda Red Bourbon

The Red Bourbon variety is recognized worldwide for its inherent sweetness and acidity complexity. This particular lot is grown in extremely fertile soils in the Ruli region, at elevations between 1,771 and 1,880 meters. The stable climate, with consistent temperatures of 17–18°C and ideal rainfall, gives the beans the perfect environment for slow ripening and maximum sugar accumulation.

Sensory Profile and Tasting Notes

Thanks to the anaerobic fermentation process, this Rwanda Red Bourbon variety coffee offers an intense and memorable taste experience. You’ll discern clear notes of almonds, a delicate acidity, and a long aftertaste that elegantly evokes rum chocolate.
