Description

An intense, juicy natural Gesha: berries, purple grape, and lavender, with a chocolate finish.

In the cup

It opens with ripe berries, blackberry, and strawberry, followed by cherry and purple grape. Lavender adds floral elegance, while chocolate and lemongrass bring depth and freshness. Medium, juicy body, well-integrated citrus acidity, and a long finish.

The story

Abu Coffee operates in Cañas Verdes, on the slopes of Volcán Barú. For this lot, the whole cherries are first pre-dried in the sun for around 120 hours, then fermented for 72 hours in sealed GrainPro bags submerged in spring water and rehydrated with the must from previous Gesha lots. Finally, they dry on raised beds for around 30 days.

Competition-level freshness

All Over Your Limits coffees are stored green, vacuum-sealed, and in the freezer, the same technique used for competition coffees, and we roast them only when you place your order. The cold stops the green beans from aging and protects their sugars, acidity, and aromas: this way, each lot reaches your cup with the same profile it had the day we first tasted it, even months after harvest.

Why Over Your Limits

Because it takes the natural process further, with a two-stage process that remains clean and controlled throughout.
