This special Honey Processed Geisha stands out for its exceptional honey sweetness and soft, silky texture. Notes of green grapes and bright flowers bring a juicy, fruity liveliness to this exceptional and elegant cup profile. The Geisha coffee cherries are carefully hand-picked when they reach their sweetest point of ripeness, recognizable by their deep red color. Remarkably, a single tree is harvested up to eight times to ensure that all the coffee cherries are picked at the perfect point of ripeness. After harvesting, the coffee cherries are depulped and slowly dried in the sun during the day, with constant turning, and in a special drying house at night.

This coffee reflects the unique terroir that makes it so exceptional worldwide. This distinctive coffee comes from the world-famous Finca Lérida—the very first coffee plantation established in Panama in 1925, which is still known today for producing some of the finest and most sought-after coffees in the world. Picturesque Finca Lérida is located right next to the renowned Lamastus Estate, and both benefit from the unique microclimate in the Boquete region. Coffee plants thrive here under the optimal conditions found throughout Panama.

We are especially happy about our direct relationship with the Amoruso family farm, which the family manages today. We have been sourcing coffee directly from them for four years now. Maria Amoruso, the eldest of five siblings, grew up in Boquete. As a little girl, she helped her grandfather grow coffee plants and process the coffee. She always dreamed of owning her own farm. When Finca Lerida came up for sale in 2009, she breathed new life into this special place, which has one of the best locations for growing coffee. She planted Geisha plants and, a few years ago, even the SL 34 variety from Kenya, with which she won fourth place at BOP.
