Description
KIÚBOMÁ, a fusion of two continents
Kiúbomá is a reflection on the origins of Cafés Guayacán, coffee, and each of us:
Colombia, the origin of Cafés Guayacán.
Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee.
Motherhood, because within a mother’s womb lies the source of who we are today.
And a nod to mestizaje, one of Colombia’s riches.
What does KIÚBOMÁ mean?
Kiúbomá is a Colombian greeting for mothers, “quí hubo má,” meaning “what’s up, Mom?”
A blend that’s a bustle of life
Wherever you go in Colombia, you’ll find a bustle of life wrapped in a mild climate, the warmth of its people, and celebrations aplenty.
So when designing Kiúbomá, we kept in mind that the coffee’s flavor profile should reflect these characteristic Colombian sensations: smoothness, sweetness, and festivity.
And a zest for life!
Creation process
With Colombia and Ethiopia as the origins of the coffee beans in Kiúbomá, we set out to find the varieties to test in our roasts and determine the proportions.
The coffees from Colombia and Ethiopia are very familiar to us, having been with us since we began roasting coffee.
This gives us a broad perspective on the coffee profiles found in different growing regions in both countries.
The result is a blend based on beans grown in the Colombian department of Antioquia, with a sweet fragrance and smooth flavor. An Ethiopian base note adds floral elements and leaves a lingering, festive taste on the palate.
Kiúbomá is a coffee that spreads joy, delights, and is enjoyable.
A coffee available throughout the year, satisfying those who want the same coffee every day.
