Description

The Origin: Ethiopia is widely regarded as the birthplace of coffee, and our Koke comes from the heart of its celebrated coffee country. Sourced from smallholder family farms in the Gedeo Zone, our beans are grown at extreme altitudes of 1,700 to 2,200 meters. This thinning air and volcanic soil slow the maturation of the cherry, building sweetness and complexity in the cup.

The Process: We utilize the meticulous Natural Process to highlight the coffee’s sweet, fruit-forward character. By drying the whole coffee cherry on Raised Oxygenated Beds before the fruit is removed, we preserve the delicate fruit and floral aromatics that Ethiopian coffee lovers prize.

The Profile:

  • Primary Notes: Peach, Jasmine, Green Apple, Rose

  • Body: Light-bodied with a delicate structure that allows its fruit and floral character to remain beautifully expressive.

  • Finish: A short yet vibrant finish with delicate peach sweetness and a graceful touch of florals.

  • Acidity: Light acidity provides gentle balance and definition without overpowering the coffee's delicate character.

  • Mouthfeel: Light and airy with a soft, almost fluffy texture and a remarkably bright, lively presence.

  • Origin: Natural Koke (Ethiopia)

The Versatility:Whether brewed as a pour-over to showcase its delicate florals, prepared in a Chemex for exceptional clarity, or enjoyed as a classic drip coffee, our Natural Koke rewards each of these methods with a beautifully expressive cup. Its light body and lively character allow the peach, green apple, jasmine, and rose to shine with remarkable definition.

The Ethical Choice: Our Natural Koke supports smallholder cooperatives dedicated to sustainable farming. Taste the heritage of Ethiopian coffee. Upgrade to our 32oz Artisan Bag that brings this experience to your daily morning ritual.
