Description
An iconic coffee from the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica, grown at high altitude by many small producers. Ideal conditions — sunny days, cool nights, and rich soils — allow the fruit to mature slowly, producing dense, expressive beans. Processed using the fully washed method and carefully selected (EP), this coffee delivers a clean, precise cup that’s enjoyable every day.
Profile:
This Tarrazu SHB EP is a high-altitude Arabica, roasted to highlight its clarity and natural balance. In the cup, it is clean, bright, and harmonious, with lively yet controlled acidity and a lovely sweetness in the background.
Tasting notes:
Fresh apple notes open the tasting, bringing a juicy, crisp quality. They develop into the sweetness of almond and milk chocolate, with a silky texture and a clean, elegant, slightly indulgent finish.
Ideal for:
Filter methods (V60, Chemex, Kalita), drip coffee makers, French press —
as well as a bright, balanced espresso with soft, refined aromas.
The story:
From the highlands of Tarrazu, in the heart of the Talamanca mountain range, this coffee reflects Costa Rica’s coffee-growing expertise. Produced by passionate small-scale farmers and carefully processed, it embodies a commitment to quality at every step, from field to cup. A dependable, expressive, timeless coffee that reflects one of Central America’s most renowned growing regions.
