Maragogype Colombia – Finca El Boton – Ciutad del Bolivar

Maragogype is considered the champagne of 100% Arabica coffees. Grown in the Medellin region, in the Andean foothills near the small town of Ciutad del Bolivar. Long overlooked in favor of bean varieties more resistant to disease, Maragogype is known for having the largest beans in the world. In fact, the beans can grow up to 3 times larger than what is considered a “classic” bean. In addition, this bean variety produces a highly aromatic coffee, much sought after by aficionados.

For a long time, its cultivation was replaced by more traditional varieties, but it is slowly coming back into style, much to our delight.

This is a coffee with a gentle body, citrus notes, and very mild acidity. A rich and refreshing first impression on the palate.
