This Brazil Caparaó specialty coffee comes from Fazenda Santa Rita, run by the Lacerda family for several generations. Grown at around 1,100 meters above sea level in the mountainous Caparaó region, this coffee produces a smooth, balanced cup. The pulped natural process brings out a lovely sweetness, with delicious notes of chestnut, caramel, and almond. The cherries are hand-picked, then depulped before being dried on patios. This method preserves the coffee’s natural sweetness while maintaining excellent aromatic clarity.

Description
THE TERROIR OF BRAZIL CAPARAÓ SPECIALTY COFFEE
The Caparaó region in southeastern Brazil is known for the growing quality
of its high-altitude coffees. At around 1,100 meters,
the cherries ripen more slowly thanks to cooler temperatures
and a favorable mountain climate.
This gradual ripening allows the beans to develop more pronounced
natural sweetness and a balanced aromatic profile.
Coffees from this region are often prized for their smoothness
and rounded cup profile.
This Brazil Caparaó specialty coffee comes from Fazenda Santa Rita,
run by the Lacerda family for several generations.
They hand-pick and sort the cherries to select
perfectly ripe fruit.
They process the coffee using the pulped natural method.
They then remove the pulp before drying, while some of the mucilage
remains on the bean. This method produces a smooth,
delicious, and especially balanced cup.
The first impression is smooth and rounded.
The mid-palate reveals lovely sweetness and a silky body.
The finish brings out notes of chestnut, almond,
and caramel.
Fazenda Santa Rita is located near Caparaó National Park.
The Lacerda family places great importance on environmental preservation:
approximately 30% of the property is maintained as native forest,
where they plant new trees every year.
