Description
Brazil Bob-O-Link
This coffee comes from the Bob-O-Link network, an initiative of Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza in southern Minas Gerais. Since 2008, it has supported small family farms in growing coffee sustainably and to specialty-grade quality, rather than selling it as a commodity.
The farmers focus on ecological cultivation and plant native shade trees among the coffee plants. These protect the soil and provide habitat for wildlife. The name recalls the bobolink, a migratory bird that connects continents. In the same way, the initiative aims to bring everyone involved, from farmer to cup, closer together.
