December, Christmas tree, candlelight, the aroma of nuts, chocolate, mandarins, and marzipan—and a lovely cup of Christmas coffee!
Every year, we try to find a coffee for our Christmas edition that suits the season in flavor and is also suitable for different brewing methods, so everyone can enjoy it during the holidays.
This year, we found what we were looking for in Nicaragua, with our longtime partners, the Mierisch family at their El Encanto farm.
El Encanto means magic or enchantment in translation, making this coffee the ideal companion for the holiday season.
We have been working with the Mierisch family, based in Nicaragua, for many years. We greatly appreciate their work because their coffees are excellent in quality (they have, among other awards, won the Cup of Excellence) and are produced under fair and sustainable conditions for people and the environment.
The family does exemplary work: their farms are in excellent condition, meticulously maintained, and designed as sustainable biotopes with thriving flora and fauna. Harvesting and processing are carried out to the highest standards.
