This small harvest comes from the Black Condor Project in Planadas, Tolima. Its name comes from the shape of its origin on the map, where the land evokes a condor with wings outstretched. More than a place name, Black Condor reflects the region’s history and the community-building efforts taking root there.

It's home to the Nasa We'sx Indigenous Community. Many coffee producers in Planadas belong to the Nasa We'sx Indigenous community, who have a deep connection to the land and sustainable agriculture.

And a birthplace of the FARC Peace Process: Gaitania is historically significant as one of the regions where the Colombian armed conflict began and later became a focal point for peacebuilding efforts.

With its high altitude, rich volcanic soil, and lush & cloud forest, it has the ideal microclimates for specialty coffee.

Our goal is to improve the quality of life for the coffee-growing community in Gaitania & Planadas, Tolima. There are 120 current producers, and we aim to reach 300 families in 2026.
