Bio-Omni Roast aus Honduras ‚Roasters Choice‘ No. 04

With Roasters Choice No. 04, we’re presenting the fourth specialty roast in this distinctive series. For our regular customers, it’s a familiar, almost festive moment: when a new Roasters Choice arrives, you know something truly special is here again. A limited edition, available for a short time and exclusively from us.

As an espresso, Roasters Choice No 04 impresses with pomegranate notes and a silky texture. As a filter coffee, it brings to mind dried stone fruits (mango, papaya) and nutmeg.

As with every special edition, this time our full roasting expertise was at the heart of the process. Coffee sommelier Albina, roaster Eirini, and our longtime roaster Rolf tasted the coffee extensively, refined various roast profiles, and brought out its finest nuances.

This process resulted in a coffee that captures the complexity of this Honduran Arabica.

The result is an omni roast that shows what’s possible when experience, curiosity, and craftsmanship come together. A coffee that isn’t simply “new,” but thoughtfully selected, developed together, and roasted with great care—for everyone who wants not just to drink coffee, but to discover it.

• Water amount: 315 ml
• Brew time: approx. 2:45 minutes
• Brew ratio: 1:15.5
• Water temperature: 98 °C

Pour-over recommendation:

• Bloom: 45 seconds with max. 54 ml
• First pour to 210 ml
• Second pour to 315 ml

Brew ratio: The coffee-to-water ratio

Brew ratio is the ratio between the amount of roasted coffee used and the amount of coffee extracted from it. You’ll need a scale for this, available here: fine scale

A ratio of 1:2 means that we extract two grams of espresso for every gram of roasted coffee.
