Description
Profile:
This Ugandan coffee comes from the fertile slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains, where more than 4,300 small-scale producers deliver their cherries to the Mubuku washing station. Medium-roasted to preserve its natural balance, it offers a warm, expressive, and surprisingly approachable cup, with moderate acidity and a lovely aromatic richness.
Tasting notes:
A winey profile with the brightness of ripe fruit, followed by a molasses sweetness that brings depth and roundness. Delicate nutty nuances smooth everything out for a soft, indulgent, and harmonious finish.
Ideal for:
Pour-over (V60, Chemex, Kalita), drip coffee maker, and other gentle brewing methods—
as well as a bold espresso, rich and naturally sweet.
The story:
Born in the heart of the Rwenzori range, this coffee is the result of exceptional collective effort. The cherries are hand-sorted and then naturally dried on raised beds for 18 to 24 days, concentrating the sugars and revealing the full complexity of the terroir. This coffee pays tribute to the communities of Kasese, their expertise, and the beauty of a landscape where altitude, volcanic soils, and climate create ideal conditions for producing a vibrant, authentic coffee.
