Seasonal Filter - Natural - (Filter Roast)

We are so pleased to present to you, the latest iteration of the Seasonal Filter Natural, a natural process Ethiopian Heirloom from the fantastic producers and team of the Mirado washing station. 

Mirado is a coffee processing station in Bensa, Sidama, southern Ethiopia, operated by Daye Bensa Coffee and associated with its founder, Asefa Dukamo Korma. It sources coffee cherries from surrounding smallholder farmers and produces both washed and natural coffees.

It's an interesting origin to understand because the station combines the high-altitude growing conditions associated with Sidama specialty coffee with the larger producer-exporter model that has helped put Ethiopian coffees on the international specialty market. The station sources coffee from nearby villages including Dambi, Silinga, Sagara and Kokose. 

Asefa Dukamo grew up in a coffee-farming family in Bensa. In 1997, he established his first washing station near his family's farm because local farmers had to travel considerable distances to deliver their cherries. That initial operation developed into the wider Daye Bensa business, co-founded with his younger brother Mulugeta Dukamo.
