Direct trade and organic

About the producers:  In the heart of a region historically shaped by mining, the residents of San Miguel Ixtahucan are committed to sustainable practices that revitalize the land and their community. An association of coffee producers, one quarter of whom are women, works together to develop high-quality organic coffee growing in the region.
The Miguel Coffee Producers Association (ACMI) was founded in 2011 with the help of ANACAFE, the national coffee technical assistance institution, and financial support from USAID.
About the process: ACMI represents 462 farmers from 17 different villages around San Miguel. The association provides farmers with agronomic assistance, a warehouse, roasting and sample cupping facilities, as well as marketing support. The farmers process their coffee on the farm and deliver the dried parchment coffee to a centralized warehouse in San Miguel.
This dedication to both their craft and the environment gives rise to this clean coffee with notes of almond and dried fruit.
