Peru Mestiza Cajamarca

Our new coffee from Peru is tempting above all for its sweetness, with notes of cookies, chocolate, pear, and plum—and its “sky-high” SCA score of 86.75 points.

It’s also grown close to the sky, at elevations between 1,600 and 2,350 meters above sea level, and then wet processed using the washed method. But that’s not all!

Mestiza Cajamarca is a cooperative of around 150 women farmers from the Callayuc region, contributing to the well-being of around 2,400 residents of all ages. It’s certainly fair to say that this is “more than coffee.”

We roast each coffee to order and ship it to you promptly, so you receive exceptionally fresh coffee (sometimes even too fresh to drink right away—we recommend waiting at least three days; chemical processes that affect the coffee’s flavor continue during those three days after roasting).

We choose the roast level for each coffee to bring out its natural qualities, but we’re also happy to accommodate your preferences.

We pack the coffee in three-layer, high-barrier bags, hermetically sealed and fitted with a degassing valve and a resealable zipper or clip.

By default, we send the coffee as whole beans, but we’ll grind it to your preferred size on request, depending on your brewing method.
