Discover exceptional single-origin Mexico coffee from Finca La Laja, a historic family estate nestled in the fertile highlands of Tlaltetela, Veracruz. Roasted by Frontside Coffee Roasters, this limited offering comes from the Sampieri family, who have been cultivating coffee since 1920. Their passion for quality has grown into AC La Laja SA de CV, a fourth-generation operation that now manages more than 100 hectares of coffee across four meticulously maintained farms.
This lot features Caturra and Gárnica varieties grown between 1,250 and 1,300 meters above sea level. Using the Yellow Honey Process, the coffee is carefully depulped while leaving a portion of the fruit's natural sugars on the bean during drying. This meticulous process enhances sweetness, body, and complexity while allowing the unique character of Veracruz's volcanic terroir to shine through.
Expect a beautifully balanced medium roast with notes of honeydew melon, cashew, and sweet bread. The cup is smooth and approachable, combining delicate fruit sweetness with a creamy, nutty body and a comforting finish. It's an excellent example of the care and craftsmanship that have made Finca La Laja one of Mexico's most respected coffee producers.
Order your freshly roasted Mexico Veracruz – Finca La Laja from Frontside Coffee Roasters and enjoy a sweet, balanced coffee that's perfect for pour-over, drip coffee, French press, or your favorite morning brew.
