Description

Melaku is grown in the Guji region. This coffee, with notes of chocolate and strawberries, is perfect for both espresso and filter brewing.
The Guji region is characterized by its lush vegetation, as seen at the Yebelo Wildlife Sanctuary, a true haven for wildlife. The people of Guji, who are part of the Oromo family (one-third of Ethiopia’s population), gave their name to this mountainous region, where some of Ethiopia’s finest coffees grow. It is in this pristine natural environment that Mr. Melaku’s washing station operates, in the municipality (Kebele) of Bule Hora, not far from the small town of Hagere Maryam.

Working with local smallholder associations, Mr. Melaku produces high-quality, fully traceable coffee.
