Masaba Blend Espresso dunkel

Our Masaba Espresso is a blend of washed Arabica coffee from several farms in the Bulambuli District on Masaba (Mount Elgon). Intense nutty and chocolate notes predominate; the coffee has low acidity and a full-bodied, bold flavor. The dark-roasted espresso is currently available in 250g and 1000g bags. You can also get this coffee loose at our café.

Masaba is what producers in the Bulambuli District call the extinct volcano on whose slopes they grow Arabica coffee. To restore the mountain’s original name, we’ll use this name as well going forward. We’ll include the official name “Mt. Elgon,” which originated with the British occupation of Uganda in the late 19th century, only in parentheses afterward.

A recipe suggestion for use in an espresso machine was kindly provided by 'Das Brühbuch' (Instagram) and can serve as a guide to dialing in, if needed. Please note that if you select "espresso machine" as the grind size, we can’t guarantee it will work with your machine.
