Our Honduras natural is a directly traded coffee from the Combrifol cooperative, which is committed to organic farming. The cooperative has its own processing station, where the harvested coffee cherries are collected and processed together. Members cultivate about 1 to 4 hectares of land for various crops. The cooperative offers educational workshops on farming methods and ecological agriculture. The selected photos are colorful because that’s what the farms look like, too: Alongside coffee, they grow a mix of coffee, tropical fruits, and corn.

The importance of a good income in Honduras is evident in the country’s high rate of violent crimes against women and the systematic violation of women’s rights. Social and health issues are therefore very important to the cooperative.
