Description

WHOLE BEAN. If you need the coffee ground, please leave a note with your order telling us how you prepare your coffee so we can adjust the grind size. We can't guarantee the grind for portafilter machines, since each one works differently.

The region's special climate and fertile volcanic soils come through in the cup of this microlot filter coffee, with delicious floral and tropical notes. This coffee comes to you from northwestern Guatemala, near the Mexican border. The name San Miguel comes from the community.
There are two member organizations of Manos Campesinas in San Miguel: one is called Asociación de de Caficultores Miguelenses, and the other is a cooperative called San Miguel Arcangel. The members of both organizations are 186 families, 23% of whom are women. The harvest begins in December and ends in late April. Farmers in the region speak Mam, a Mayan language.

Our partners at Manos Campesinas produce high-quality washed coffees in harmony with nature. It's no wonder the coffee is so good, because the cooperative is truly inspiring. Their sense of community, which includes us, and their relationship with nature are impressive.

Find out more about the people and conditions on the ground, as well as how the coffee is processed, in our videos—Marcel made them during his last trip. Links are below the photos.
