Description

FUTURO CAFE PERU (BIO) - a complex, fruity variety blend

Catimor, Caturra, and Bourbon—each of these three varieties offers a fantastic coffee experience on its own. In the hand-roasted specialty coffee FUTURO CAFE (BIO), they complement one another to create a complex filter coffee with notes of nougat, cane sugar, and mandarin. A perfect blend of fruity sweetness and subtle acidity.

Dark chocolate meets sweet, fruity mandarins

The aromatic scent of this hand-roasted specialty coffee reveals right away that the organic filter coffee FUTURO is something special. Its perfect balance of fruity sweetness, subtle acidity, and a complex body delights coffee lovers who see their delicious hot drink as more than just a morning energy boost.

Roasting it to an American Roast brings out the full body of FUTURO CAFE without suppressing its subtle acidity. With the first crack, a sweetness emerges reminiscent of dark chocolate, delicate nougat, and brown sugar—the ideal partner for the fruity flavors in this specialty coffee, with their notes of mild citrus fruits.

From the fertile Cajamarca region

Alongside thriving dairy and cheese production, the evergreen coffee plants for FUTURO specialty coffee grow in the Peruvian region of Cajamarca. At altitudes of 1,700 to 2,000 meters, the beans take significantly longer to ripen than coffee grown quickly in the lowlands. This slow growth allows the coffee beans to absorb considerably more flavor and aromatic compounds from the mineral-rich soil.

Together with the mild, sunny equatorial climate, these growing conditions are ideal for producing high-quality, aromatic organic coffee.

Three special varieties in hand-roasted FUTURO CAFE (BIO)

The composition of coffee varieties in FUTURO CAFE is like an exciting opera. Its Bourbon variety sets the stage, giving this hand-roasted specialty coffee a mild, balanced base note. Against this ensemble of vanilla and chocolate notes, Caturra’s delicate acidity takes the spotlight, playing a tune of mild citrus fruits.

Catimor, a cross between Caturra and Timor, completes the composition. As a naturally occurring hybrid of the Robusta and Arabica plants, Timor brings together the best qualities of the two most popular coffee types. Whether brewed as filter coffee or in a French press, every cup is a dream of mellow, fruity notes.
