Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Idido
Approximately 650 smallholder farmers in Ethiopia's Idido community grow this exceptional Yirgacheffe coffee. Their work highlights the vibrant character that has made coffees from this area sought after around the world. Farmers cultivate the coffee under shade at elevations between 1,900 and 2,100 meters above sea level.
The Idido washing station receives ripe coffee cherries and fully washes and ferments them before drying them on raised beds for 10 to 15 days. Workers regularly rake the coffee throughout the drying process and shield it from intense sunlight and overnight moisture to promote even drying and exceptional cup quality.
In the cup, you'll find notes of melon, blackberry, and stone fruit, complemented by floral aromatics, balanced sweetness, and a silky body. Bright citrus-like acidity adds energy and clarity, leading to a clean, expressive finish.
