Description

Colombia Chambaku Sugar Cane Decaf – Naturally Sweet. Beautifully Smooth. (1kg Big Bag)

From the Chambaku Farm in the Villamaría Caldas region of Colombia — and in collaboration with our friends at Aluna Specialty Coffees — we’re proud to bring you our Colombian Sugar Cane Decaf in a generous 1kg Big Bag.

This coffee delivers all the flavour and aroma you’d expect from a premium Colombian bean, without the caffeine. A medium roast brings out sweet notes of honey and caramel, perfectly balanced by gentle fruitiness and a clean finish. It’s smooth, naturally sweet, and perfect for any time of day.

What makes this coffee truly special is its Sugar Cane Decaffeination Process — a method that uses ethyl acetate derived from sugar cane to gently remove caffeine while preserving the bean’s natural flavour. The result is a more natural, chemical-free approach that keeps the coffee’s original character intact.

The process begins by steaming the coffee beans to open their pores, then washing them with the natural ethyl acetate solution derived from fermented sugar cane. This not only removes caffeine but also imparts a subtle sweetness that enhances the cup’s honeyed, caramel tones.

With an SCA Score of 84, this decaf is proof that you don’t need caffeine to enjoy a truly exceptional coffee experience.
