COLOMBIA El Yolombo Filterkaffee

Our coffee beans Colombia El Yolombo taste fruity and sweet, with notes of peach, white tea, and floral honey.

The green coffee comes from Finca El Yolombo in Anzá, Antioquia. It is run by Liliana Ramírez, whose story particularly impressed us: When Nikolai from Desarroladores De Cafe met her, she had never even tried her own coffee. For nearly two years now, he has been supporting her in marketing her exceptional Chiroso coffee. Through their close collaboration, they have improved the consistency of the drying process and significantly enhanced cup cleanliness using the “floating” process.

The beans grow at an altitude of 1,850 meters and are processed using the traditional “Washed” method. Since this is a small farm with about 1,000 coffee trees, Liliana uses the “3 Cochadas” method: The harvest from three consecutive days is picked separately, depulped after “floating” in the evening, and finally washed together on the fourth day. This hands-on work and attention to detail make this coffee a truly special experience.

The green coffee reaches us through Nikolai Fürst of Desarrolladores de Cafe, which means “coffee developers.” Philip visited him in 2023 to get a firsthand look at coffee cultivation in Colombia.
