Medium roast, sweet but intense, with notes of dark chocolate and tropical fruits.
This coffee is organically grown on family farms in Popayán, a municipality in the Cauca Valley in western Colombia, not far from the Pacific coast. The families, each of whom grows coffee on an average of 1.5 hectares of land, belong to the Association of Organic Coffee Producers of Cauca, Colombia (ACEC). ACEC, which has around 500 members, offers training to improve coffee quality and monitor the environmental impact of cultivation in the region.
