The Flores family manages El Diamante farm in the district of San José de Lourdes. Their land lies more than 1900 meters above sea level. This area has a distinctive climate, with high rainfall and cooler temperatures, contributing to a unique cup profile with citrus notes and a rare buttery characteristic. However, the area is very remote and requires crossing a river, making it difficult for producers to transport their coffee. As a result, many producers sell their coffee locally at low prices, preventing them from investing in their farms.

This particular lot was produced by Lenin Flores, who oversees quality control for all lots. A third-generation coffee farmer, Lenin has focused his efforts on specialty coffee. His academic background, entrepreneurial mindset, and dedication to the community have made him a leader among his peers.

His experience in roasting and cupping has been essential in establishing a high standard of quality and inspiring others in the region.
