We are proud to work with Kokowagayo (Koperasi Kopi Wanita Gayo), the first and only women-owned and women-managed cooperative in Sumatra. Founded in 2014 in Aceh, northern Sumatra, it has pioneered women’s empowerment in the industry while producing some of the region’s most exceptional coffees.
The wet-hulling process, or giling basah, is the traditional method used in Indonesia as a solution to the rainy, humid conditions that make drying green coffee difficult.
From the first sip to the last, you’ll discover that this coffee is much more than a unique flavor: it’s a story of resilience, empowerment, and the extraordinary power of women coming together to create something truly special.
