CAFE GUARANI from Brazil – Whole bean or ground

The state of Sao Paulo is home to one of Brazil’s best-known coffee-producing regions: Mogiana. The first coffee farm in the state was founded in the Paraíba Valley as early as 1817. The state of Sao Paulo is also home to the port of Santos, Brazil’s main export port. The state of Sao Paulo has two main coffee-producing regions: Mogiana and Center-West.

The Mogiana region takes its name from a railway company, « Companhia Mogiana de Estradas de Ferro », which established « the coffee railway » in 1883. It improved transportation and, above all, boosted coffee production in the region.

Mogiana has elevations between 800 and 1100 m, steady temperatures of around 20°C throughout the year, and rolling terrain well suited to coffee production. The region produces high-quality coffees with a balanced, sweet cup profile.
