BURUNDI KIBINGO NATURAL – natural

Juicy blackberries, dark chocolate, and creamy vanilla take center stage in the cup. The profile is sweet and intensely fruity, with a velvety body and a long, dessert-like finish. This Burundi showcases African fruitiness without losing depth or its pleasant sweetness.

This character comes from both the Kayanza region and the work of Kibingo washing station. More than 1,700 smallholder producers deliver cherries from the surrounding hills, and each lot undergoes multiple rounds of sorting, slow natural drying, and thorough quality control before export. As a result, the coffee retains a clean profile, pronounced sweetness, and vivid fruitiness.

We chose this coffee because its quality comes from more than good processing alone. Greenco has supported local producers for years by running seedling nurseries, training farmers, and creating jobs for young agronomists. We like working with projects that develop not only coffee quality but also the communities behind it. And when the result is a cup full of blackberry, chocolate, and vanilla, all the more reason to include it in our selection.
