Description

You were only waiting for this… coffee!

We got the name for this great espresso from the Beatles. Some coffees make you feel from the start that they’re here to stay. Our organic BLACKBIRD Espresso is one of them. Originally planned as a limited edition, it quickly earned a permanent place in our lineup thanks to the positive feedback from our customers. It was clear after just a short time: this espresso shouldn’t disappear again.

Origin and character
BLACKBIRD is a balanced blend of two Ethiopian Arabica varieties. A washed Arabica from Sidama brings clarity and a delicate, lively freshness, while a naturally processed Arabica from the Limu region gives the espresso depth, smoothness, and fruity complexity. The result is a harmonious, smooth espresso with a clear structure. It’s for people who value quality, notice the subtle differences, and are eager to discover new flavor worlds.

more about Blackbird

Tasting experience

The first impression is fruity, with a delicate note reminiscent of green apple. This freshness combines with a caramel sweetness that gives the espresso a well-rounded balance. No single flavor dominates; everything comes together in a smooth, well-balanced overall experience.

BLACKBIRD is therefore suited not only to a quick espresso between other things, but also to special moments of enjoyment. A coffee that shows how varied and exciting espresso can be.

Who is BLACKBIRD for?

Organic BLACKBIRD Espresso is ideal for discerning coffee drinkers who appreciate high-quality coffees and are curious about special flavors. It’s neither too strong nor too light—just right for anyone looking for a balanced, elegant espresso.

Whether at home, in the office, or in a café, BLACKBIRD works in many settings. It’s an espresso that stands out both on its own and with milk. A cappuccino or flat white made with BLACKBIRD shows how well fruitiness and sweetness can come together.

Brewing recommendations

Of course, BLACKBIRD develops its full aroma in an espresso machine. But it can also be brewed wonderfully in an automatic coffee machine or a stovetop pot.

A little tip for stovetop pot fans: BLACKBIRD tastes especially aromatic and pleasantly smooth in a Bialetti or another stovetop pot. So if you prefer to put on a classic moka pot in the morning, you can look forward to an equally well-balanced result.
