Description
The Mierisch family has been growing coffee in Nicaragua for over 120 years. While one branch of the family is originally from Scotland, the other comes from Germany. Over several generations, the family has built an existence in Nicaragua.
Today the Mierisch family has several farms, all of which they manage themselves.
The Las Delicias Estate is located in a particularly privileged location for coffee cultivation, with very fertile soil and an optimal microclimate that favors the healthy development of the coffee plants. Specialties such as the Arabica Javanica natural come from here, and the extremely valuable geisha beans represent a small part of the harvest. The geisha coffee beans only develop their typical aromas under the cool weather conditions at altitudes of over 1,200 meters. This geisha is also characterized by a very good sweetness and notes of almonds and sweet cherries.
