Celebrating acclaimed American street artist RETNA and his Salvadoran roots, this single origin El Salvador is rich with hip-hop and amalgamated cultures from across time and space coming together in a unified abstraction of language. Rich and full-bodied with comforting notes of cocoa and walnuts balanced by bright fruit and buttery sweetness. The caramelization during roasting imbues subtle, delicate flavors particular to this bourbon and pacas varietal and the degree of fermentation that occurs during processing. This coffee is fully washed and patio dried. A perfect filter brew crowd-pleaser.

Santa Ana Smallholder Farms from the volcanic soils of Santa Ana region at 1200-1600 meters above sea level, which produce complex acidic and sweet flavors.

Story

RETNA is an internationally acclaimed Salvadoran-American artist inspired by etymology and language. Renowned for creating his own linguistic script, taking inspiration from languages ranging from Hebrew to Egyptian hieroglyphics, RETNA's unique language is intended to “feel universal so people from different cultures can all find some similarity in it — whether they can read it or not.”

“We’re all one people, we just grew up in different places. Art unified people for me, so I’ll just be from the world.” Coded in his work are sometimes pejorative Spanish phrases his mother used to call him, such as "viejo de las drogas" (old man of drugs) and "Vagabundo de la calle," (vagrant of the streets).
