La Tierra del Olvido is exported by sailboat and exists only thanks to this mode of transport.
Why this name? La Tierra del Olvido is a very famous song by Colombian artist Carlos Vives. It refers to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a port and magical mountains from which the ship Anemos set sail. It translates as “the land of forgetting,” forgotten just like these coffees, which would have remained in a warehouse without this logistical solution.
What can you find in this blend? Coffees from the south of the country in Buesaco, through Nariño, and up to Aratoca in Santander in the north. That’s why we say it comes from the three cordilleras, the three mountain ranges where coffee is grown in Colombia. What processes? You can guess: it includes all kinds, from a classic fully washed coffee from Cauca, to an anaerobic natural from Tolima, to a washed Pink Bourbon from Huila.
That’s why La Tierra del Olvido offers a diverse experience of aromas and flavors, highlighting the most representative characteristics of each terroir in this origin. It is the result of the efforts of all the producers who brought their coffees aboard the sailboat and combined their leftovers to create an exotic blend that brings together different soils, varieties, processes, and, of course, stories.
