About This Coffee
Purveyor is our dependable workhorse — the cup we reach for when we want something that performs reliably every time. It leans on two origins that complement each other beautifully: Peru brings a smooth body and balanced sweetness, while Ethiopia layers in fruity complexity and granola notes.
The result is a versatile, low-acidity coffee that reads like silky malt chocolate on the first sip, then settles into rich molasses without any bitterness. It holds up gorgeously through milk, which is why it has become one of our bestsellers for home baristas pulling daily lattes and for offices running high-volume setups.
How to Brew Purveyor
| Espresso | 1:2 ratio — 18g in, 36g out for a balanced, syrupy shot |
| Filter | 1:14 ratio, water at 93°C |
If your espresso tastes sharp or thin, grind a little finer; if it tastes harsh or dry, grind coarser. For filter, dial the grind to land a 3 to 4 minute brew.
How Much Coffee Is in a Bag?
At 15g a cup, a 300g bag makes about 20 cups, or RM1.95 a cup. Two 300g bags make about 40 cups at about RM1.88 a cup, and the 1kg bag stretches to about 66 cups at RM1.80 a cup. The recipes above use 18g for a fuller cup, so expect a few cups fewer if you brew that way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Purveyor better for espresso or filter?
Both work, but it shines as espresso and in milk drinks. The full body and malt-chocolate-molasses sweetness cut through milk for rich lattes and flat whites, while filter at 1:14 keeps it smooth and easy.
What does Purveyor taste like?
Malt chocolate and molasses up front, fruit granola complexity on the nose, with a smooth, consistent finish. It is sweet, full-bodied and very low in acidity — comforting and reliable rather than bright or sharp.
How fresh is the coffee?
We roast to order in Kuala Lumpur, print the roast date on every bag and ship within 24 hours of roasting. It reaches you a few days later. Coffee beans taste best from 5 to 7 days after roasting and stay good to about day 30, so the whole window is yours.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. It is forgiving and crowd-pleasing — low acidity, balanced extraction and great with milk. A simple 1:2 espresso or 1:14 filter recipe gets you a delicious cup with minimal fuss.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, from RM80 in Peninsular Malaysia (RM7 below that). The 1kg bag ships free; two 300g bags at RM75 sit just under the line. East Malaysia ships free from RM150 and Singapore from RM200. Subscriptions ship free anywhere in Malaysia.
