Description

The classic from India is back. 100% Coffea Arabica. Coffee is a natural product, and each harvest has its own character. Our master roaster has therefore adjusted the roast profile to the characteristics of the 2025 beans. The result is a wonderfully typical Malabar of the finest quality.

Mild. Delicious. Balanced.

Thanks to monsooning, this Arabica is a mild and pleasant coffee. During monsooning, coffee beans are exposed to the monsoon in open warehouses. The monsoon winds have very high humidity. The coffee beans absorb this moisture and begin to ferment. The beans swell, the acidity decreases, and the characteristic aroma develops.

While other Indian coffee varieties, such as Arabica from the Karnataka or Tamil Nadu regions, are known for their fruity, high-acidity flavors, Monsooned Malabar coffee offers a low-acidity yet aromatic taste experience. This unique quality makes it a sought-after specialty among coffee lovers worldwide.

The special processing method used for this coffee was discovered by chance. Monsoon coffee is an Indian specialty with its origins in seafaring: In the past, ships took months to travel from India to Europe. Monsoon rains and warm winds affected the beans' flavor along the way.

Enjoy notes of mulberry, dried banana, cereal, chestnut blossom, almond, and maple syrup.
