About our MAJALIWA
There we sat with a cup of coffee in hand, a very elegant, dark-roasted chocolatey, nutty espresso, and had no idea what to call it. Furaha already existed, along with Decaf; this espresso was to be the third in the group.
We thought it was a gift to be able to enjoy such high-quality coffee—and the name wasn’t far behind. Majaliwa, Swahili for “being blessed,” couldn’t have been a better name.
Today, we’re bringing our Majaliwa to everyone looking for an everyday espresso—reliable, versatile, and always full of flavor. Its three-part blend, with 55% beans from Brazil, 30% from India, and 15% from Kenya, develops its full aroma across a wide extraction window, ensuring a consistently harmonious cup.
The Canephora (Robusta) content makes for an especially bold cup with nutty notes, just right for those who love their espresso with character.
Majaliwa is an excellent choice for espresso machines and milk-based drinks, as its flavor holds up very well against milk.
Speaking of “being blessed”: If you want to feel the way we did when we first enjoyed Majaliwa, we recommend preparing it as follows: put 19 grams into a double portafilter, let it extract for 30 seconds, and then enjoy 45 milliliters of a double espresso. Majaliwa—we give you our word.
