About our KUSHUKURU
Kushukuru is Swahili for “thank you.”
Given the positive feedback from Kushukuru fans, we couldn't have come up with a better name for this filter coffee.
Arne Preuß, founder of the Coffeeness blog, writes: “I knew immediately that I didn't just want to drink this coffee to wake up deliciously in the morning. I felt like enjoying it after a walk in the park, to warm up and simply feel good.”
The fact is: As soon as you open the package, you're met with an incredibly warm sweetness, speckled with surprisingly clear blackberry notes. The roast: medium. The origin: Kenya, of course. More specifically: the Kabngetuny Farmers Cooperative Society, located in Kericho County in the Rift Valley at an elevation of 2,000 meters above sea level, in one of East Africa's largest indigenous forest areas. The “Women in Coffee” project is part of this cooperative and empowers women coffee farmers to cultivate their own fields.
This filter coffee is ideal for brewing in a drip coffee maker, French press, or pour-over—and suitable for just about any coffee lover. If you prefer something a little fruitier, try our Wikiendi.
