La Cascarilla - Peru

Grown high in the mountains of Cajamarca, northern Peru, this beautiful coffee brings together the work of small-scale producers from the communities of Chontali, Huabal and La Cascarilla. Renowned for producing coffees of remarkable depth and natural sweetness, this region offers ideal growing conditions, where high elevations, cool mountain air and traditional varieties contribute to exceptional cup quality.

Carefully selected and traditionally washed, the coffee is fermented for 24 to 48 hours before being gently dried to preserve its delicate character and clarity.

The result is a wonderfully comforting and elegant cup, with luscious notes of ripe stone fruits, smooth milk chocolate and golden honey. Beautifully balanced, with a lingering sweetness and a soft, rounded finish, this coffee is a lovely expression of the richness and character of Peru's northern highlands.
